Wednesday, 20 January 2021: The South African Communist Party (SACP) expresses its message of heartfelt condolences to the Mbedzi family on the sore loss encountered. Comrade Amos Mbedzi’s mother, Vho Muofhe Tshisikhaiwe Modjadji Netshitungulwane Mundalamo Mbedzi passed away on Tuesday, 19 January 2021 in Makonde Village, Limpopo Province. Her son, Amos Mbedzi was in 2012 sentenced to 85 years imprisonment by the undemocratic King Mswati’s Tinkundla regime in Swaziland after being wrongfully convicted of murder. Our joint call with the family for his freedom fell on deaf ears until his mother, Vho Muofhe Mbedzi (82), passed away. Speaking at an SACP organised Release Amos Mbedzi Campaign on 4 July 2014 at Makonde Stadium, Vho Muofhe Mbedzi said “she was praying that Mswati would release her son, so that he could come back home and live with the family”.  Cde Amos’ son, Doctor Mbedzi, then 18, said he missed the kindness…
