WFTU condemns Israeli aggression against Palestinian workers

The World Federation of Trade Unions, which is the militant voice of  105 million members in 132 countries around the globe, strongly condemns the exacerbation of the aggression of the Israeli state and army against the Palestinian workers.

The Israeli occupation army opened fire against a group of Palestinian workers on Monday near the village of Far’un in Tulkarem and seriously injured six workers, while yesterday six more Palestinian workers were injured when a military vehicle crashed into their car while they were returning from work in northern Jordan valley.

The WFTU also rejects the recent announcement of the Israeli Prime Minister about plans to build more than 800 settlements in the occupied West Bank, continuing the illegal settlement policy that blatantly violates international law and the rights of the Palestinian people.

The world militant trade union movement firmly reiterates its support to the heroic people of Palestine, to Palestinian workers who daily risk their life while crossing the checkpoints to enter the Israeli labor market. The struggle for the protection of Palestinian workers’ rights against the Israeli aggression and occupation and for the condemnation of all Israeli criminal practices will not end until the fulfillment of the just cause of our Palestinian brothers and sisters.
