World Federation of Trade Unions
On the occasion of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Day, a virtual Symposium was organized by the GUPW, Palestine, on April 15th, 2021. The WFTU General Secretary, comrade George Mavrikos participated in the Symposium, stressing the importance of the continuing WFTU International Campaign for the release of all Palestinian political prisoners, first of all child prisoners and the continuation of the activities of the Campaign and of international solidarity with the People of Palestine. The Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Athens, Mr. Marwan Toubassi and brother Ghassan Ghosn, General Secretary of the International Confederation of Arab Trade Unions, as long as trade unionists from other countries participated in the Symposium and expressed their support and solidarity and stable demand for the release of all Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails and for the recognition of the independent State of Palestine on 1967 borders and with East Jerusalem as its capital. #ewic-con-110455…
