Demands exemplary punishment for those responsible, including building and factory owners, and equal compensation for life in case of death due to negligence of the owner at work. On the 8th anniversary of the Rana Plaza workers ‘murder, a wreath was laid at the Rana Plaza Martyrs’ Memorial in Savar today, April 24, 2021 at 11 am by the World Trade Union Federation under the leadership of Comrade Kamrul Ahsan. Bangladesh Committee members Abdul Wahed, Ahsan Habib Bulbul and TUI-Textile Central Vice President Jolly Talukder were present on the occasion. While handing over the wreaths, the leaders said that even though 8 years have passed, it has taken time to file a complaint for the brutal incident like the immediate death of 1136 workers in the Rana Plaza collapse. Apart from building owner Sohail Rana, none of the 41 accused in the chargesheet is in jail. There is no punishment…
