The WFTU International Symposium titled “The message of the life and struggle of Ernesto “Che” Guevara” took place today on October 9th , on the 54th anniversary of his assassination by the CIA agents. More than 80 trade union cadres took part in the symposium representing trade unions from every corner of the world paying tribute to the great revolutionist leader. The opening speech of the symposium was delivered by the WFTU General Secretary, George Mavrikos who underlined his devotion to the struggle for a world without exploitation of man by man, for socialism.
