Call for Solidarity with KAVALA OIL Workers Intimidations and Layoffs will not pass! In a new provocative attack against the fighting workers of KAVALA OIL, the owner company “ENERGEAN”, based on the long-term support of the Greek Governments, proceeded to layoff 24 workers, among whom the ENTIRE BOARD OF THE WORKERS UNION. The masks have fallen. The recent labor law of Hatzidakis transforms workplaces into galleys of employer impunity and authoritarianism with government support! The responsibilities of the Government are enormous for this development. “ENERGEAN” criminalizes trade union organization, applies a “black list” against the militant workers in order to impose a dark age for the workers, without labor rights, with intensification, undermining the conditions of health and safety in the workplace. The attack against the workers of KAVALA OIL with the provocative, unprecedented in recent decades, laying off of an entire trade union leadership is a direct shot against the struggles of the working class and the right to trade unionism and union action which was conquered with blood and sweat! In the face of authoritarianism and employer´s intimidations we respond with STRENGTHENING ORGANIZATION – STRENGTHENING SOLIDARITY DISOBEDIENCE IN THE LAWS THAT DESTROY THE LIFE AND RIGHTS OF WORKERS Immediately, Massively to express solidarity with the workers in KAVALA OIL with messages of solidarity, press releases, photos of solidarity.
