In an atmosphere of enthusiasm and militant optimism, with high sense of responsibility and internationalist duty, WFTU members and cadres discussed and unanimously decided the announcement of the 18th WORLD TRADE UNION CONGRESS in Rome, Italy, on 6, 7 & 8 May 2022, hosted by USB Italy. Because of the difficulties caused by the Pandemic, the Congress will take place both with physical and virtual participation. The members of the WFTU Presidential Council from all over the world, as well as leaders of the TUIs, Regional Offices and big militant trade unions and federations, talked about the importance of carrying out a successful Congress that will light the course of class-oriented struggles of the world working class and will further strengthen the WFTU in a period of sharpening of the workers’ problems, social injustice and imperialist rivalries. The decision of the Presidential Council that concluded its works today with great participation and comradely spirit, marks the beginning of the preparations for the 18th World Trade Union Congress, under the slogan: “United, we continue!
