The demonstration of workers and students in Jakarta took place on Tuesday (13/9) at the Horse Statue, Access Strategy to the State Palace in Jakarta. The masses of action demanded a policy of increasing the price of fuel oil (BBM) and demanding a reduction in the price of basic necessities.
Because during the last two years, it can be said that there has been no increase in labor wages.

“Today we are protesting strongly against the Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin government, related to the policy of increasing fuel prices which we consider to be very harmful to the people, because the increase in fuel prices has had a tremendous impact on the community, namely the price of basic needs for the community has also increased. transportation, and rent for the workers’ residences”.

“What is the reason for the government’s lack of targeted fuel subsidies is evidence of the government’s failure to manage the country. Because the government is the one who regulates and manages the subsidies,” said Sunarno, Secretary General of the Confederation of the Indonesian Trade Union Alliance (KASBI) Congress.
