WFTU solidarity statement with the workers at Dilaz Insaat in Serbia

Union members working at the Dilaz Insaat company took action after their meetings with Dilaz Insaat company officials had negative results. The workers decided to walk out on the job as the company did not pay their wages for more than two months now, while all the attempts to negotiate with the company had no result.

The company not only didn’t meet the demands of the workers but also expelled 10 members of the union. Most workers at the company are migrants that have left their families behind in order to provide a dignified living for their children, and they are deprived of their basic work right, their wage.

The WFTU demands the prompt payment of the wages and the immediate reinstatement of the workers that have been dismissed for demanding their just rights. The WFTU expresses its internationalist solidarity with the struggle of workers.
