Comment by the Information and Press Department on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s talks with Executive Vice President of Venezuela Delcy Rodriguez

On August 21, Moscow will host talks between Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Delcy Rodriguez.

The parties will exchange opinions on the current issues of bilateral agenda related to the implementation of major joint projects in the economy, science, high technology and culture.

This Monday, from the National Palace in Mexico, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, welcomed the credentials of the new ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Latin American country, Francisco Arias Cárdenas.

Rodríguez, accompanied by the Minister for Economy and Finance, Simón Zerpa, the Vice Minister for Europe of the Ministry of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs (MPPRE), Yvan Gil and the Vice President of the Central Bank of Venezuela, Sohail Hernández, visits the Russian nation in order to strengthen strategic alliances to continue consolidating the path of the Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez and strengthen the Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy of President Nicolás Maduro.

In an interview with the newspaper Caracas, the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, explained what are the channels and methods used by the Bolivarian Government to defend and combat the effects of the financial and commercial blockade imposed by Donald’s administration which has become official in recent days.

This was stated on Friday by the Executive Vice-president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, after the 431 Council of Ministers held in the Nestor Kirchner Hall of the Miraflores Palace; from where she also invited all the people to participate and stamp their rubric in defense of the nation.

In the framework of the closing of the Seminar on Reparations of Slavery and Colonization, which took place during three days in the Casa Amarilla, in Caracas; This Thursday, Yuri Pimentel, Vice-minister for Africa of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, said that Venezuela is the only country in the world that, driven by its government, is currently developing a systematic reflection on the issue of reparations.

In order to keep advancing in the strengthening of cooperation relations, the Executive Vice-president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held a meeting with the ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Venezuela, Li Baorong. During the meeting, the representatives of both countries expressed their commitment to advance bilateral exchange and mutual support against imperial interventionism.

The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the People’s Republic of China inaugurated a mural to accompany the actions within the framework of the No More Trump campaign that rejects the economic cornering policy that the US administration has undertaken through the imposition of Unilateral coercive measures, with the purpose of generating a climate of destabilization and anxiety in the country.
