📢 Zu Gast ist die Aktivistin Elisa Baş (@_elisabas), die in ihrem Vortrag „Warum der Faktor Militär im Klimadiskurs unsichtbar bleibt“ einen Aspekt beleuchtet, der in der öffentlichen Debatte leider oft zu kurz kommt.
Im Mittelpunkt steht die Frage, warum militärische Konflikte selten Teil der Klimadiskussion sind, obwohl sie globale Auswirkungen haben. Elisa wird außerdem erläutern, warum der Genozid in Gaza nicht nur eine humanitäre Katastrophe darstellt, sondern auch im Kontext der Klimakrise betrachtet werden muss und welche Folgen Kriege insgesamt für Umwelt, Klima und Gesellschaften haben.
Der Vortrag lädt dazu ein, gewohnte Sichtweisen zu hinterfragen und den Zusammenhang zwischen Krieg, Politik und Klimafolgen differenziert zu betrachten. Kommt also dazu und werdet Teil dieser wichtigen Debatte.

Our guest is the activist Elisa Baş (@_elisabas), who will speak on the topic “Why the Military Factor Remains Invisible in Climate Discourse,” highlighting an aspect that is often overlooked in the public discourse.
At the center of the talk is the question of why military conflicts are rarely part of climate discussions, even though they have major global consequences. Elisa will also discuss why the genocide in Gaza is not only a humanitarian catastrophe but must also be viewed in the context of the climate crisis, and what impacts wars in general have on the environment, the climate, and societies.
