PAME welcomes the big, daily escalation of workers’ struggles in a number of sectors in Greece. During a heat wave, among inflation, imperialist war and pandemic, the working class of Greece with its class unions takes militant initiatives in a number of sectors, putting at the forefront the just and overdue demand for the signing of Collective Bargaining Agreements with salary increases.

While a number of sectors are also in similar mobilizations in Health, Local Government, Transport etc.
There is no workplace that is not boiling with rage and indignation
There is no workplace where workers do not worry about price increases, insecurity, taxation, imperialist war.
While the workers in the sectors are in mobilizations, the majority of GSEE (ETUC members in Greece) publishes a Letter of an agreement with the employers to keep the wages and the minimum wage frozen until June 2023.
Wages in Greece today remain at lower levels than 10 years ago while the cost of living has skyrocketed.
Electricity bills are more than of an employee’s salary. The situation is much more difficult for young workers, who are crushed by flexible forms of work and fixed-term contracts, but also by the thousands of migrant workers who fall victim to the most brutal exploitation.
The period of the pandemic has proved who are the ones who produce, who with their work and sweat pull the society forward and who, a small minority of exploiters, business groups are exploiting us so as to continue living in wealth and luxury.
At the same time, it has been shown that with organization, struggle and solidarity, workers can reverse the situation. To overthrow anti-workers’ plans, to counter-attack and defeat employers, multinationals and governments that serve them.
Actions, strikes, demonstrations for wage increases are breaking out all over Europe and around the world.

Now is the time for mass, workers’ action. We take matters into our own hands. The National Congress Meeting of PAME gave new breath, highlighted the new huge possibilities that exist for the escalation of the Struggle.
Now every union to be in the workplace. Massively to support a wave of militant actions for Increases in salaries.
No worker alone. Let us all get in contact with our unions. To become members, to take part in the struggle, to learn the enormous power of organized, collective action.
