The WFTU General Secretary, Pambis Kyritsis, participated and addressed the hundreds of trade unionists and delegates of the 3rd National Congress of USB which is taking place just a few months after the successful realization of the historic 18th World Trade Union Congress in Rome with the tireless efforts and struggling spirit of the USB cadres and militants.
Pambis Kyritsis analyzed the current situation and developments, underling that the WFTU was and remains the pure, class-oriented voice for peace, for an end to imperialist interventions, for the defense of the democratic and trade union freedoms and rights, for the satisfaction of the workers’ contemporary need and the emancipation of the working class.
During his speech, the WFTU General Secretary expressed his confidence that the role of the USB, which is in charge of the European Regional Office with comrade Pierpaolo and is participating in the WFTU Secretariat with comrade Cinzia, will be crucial for the further strengthening of our Federation and the realization of its goals, and assured the USB delegates that the WFTU will always stand by their side, supporting the just struggles of the working class in Italy.
