Solidarity with Heineken Workers’ Strike in Netherlands

PAME Greece

The National Federation of Workers in Food-Drink Industries of Greece, member of PAME and WFTU, expresses its firm solidarity and support with our colleagues at Heineken breweries in Den Bosch, Zoeterwoude and soft drink factory Vrumona in Bunnik, in Netherlands who started strike today, January 14, demanding a better collective agreement. Heineken Workers and all workers in breweries have worked in conditions of intensification during the pandemic, with the constant fear of infection in the workplace. The proposed wages by the multinational are significantly low especially in period of high inflation. The company is also planning freezing the pay scales for the next two years. The multinational, after the thousands of layoffs last year, now aims to cancel most of the workers’ employment rights, wants them cheaper with reduced rights, in order to shield its huge profitability and competitiveness. The struggle for collective labor agreements with better wages is a common fight for workers all over the world. We express our solidarity with the fight of Heineken Workers in Netherlands The post Solidarity with Heineken Workers’ Strike in Netherlands appeared first on Πανεργατικό Αγωνιστικό Μέτωπο (Π.Α.ΜΕ.).
