A series of workplaces in different sectors held strike actions the last days demanding collective contracts with better wages and working conditions. Also a series of actions takes place in response to employers’ attacks and layoffs against unionists and militant workers.
Workers in Local Administration and Municipalities held a National 1day Strike on May 24 demanding that no worker with fixed term contract is fired and all their contracts to be turned into indefinite time to support the understaffed services in local administration

In Athens Center workers at Hotel Titania held a 3hour strike on May 24 protesting work intensification, which will escalate during tourism season, while the hotel is understaffed and the salaries remain in low levels. The workers demanded hiring of additional staff and raises in wages

In Thessaloniki Construction Workers in the city Metro held a new 3hour strike on May 24 demanding Collective Contract with implementation of Health and Safety regulations and raises in their wages

Also in Thessaloniki workers in the wine industry MALAMATINA held a 24hour strike in the factory on May 23 responding to the layoffs that the company did when workers demanded a new collective contract with same rights for older and younger workers.
